The Crew:

Sam Llorca Sam is the Host of Worldflight Team USA, Not only is he the owner of one of the most Amazing Personal Home simulators in North America, but he is our Friend, our Mentor, and most of all our Leader. We couldn't have a worldflight event if it wasn't for Sam and his Family.

BobRBob Reed Bob was introduced to aircraft up close and personal when he was around 8. His dad was in the Navy and they where stationed in Long Beach California. Bob describes how they would do the grocery shopping once a month at the March Air Force base. At that time they kept B52s there and they would park very close to them. Some days they would be landing and some days taking off. Bob could not wait for those trips! When he was 14 he and his dad got into RC airplanes and this fueled the fire for aviation. At 16 Bob had his first flight in a general aviation aircraft. A little Cessna 152.

Bob Joined the Navy when he was 18 and specialized as an Aviation Structural Mechanic (AM). he said it was a lot of work but a lot of fun too. After the navy Bob returned home and was out of aviation for a while. In 1996 he found a little website owned by a gentleman named James Price. That was the end of life for him as he knew it...... 4 years ago Bob had a few people approach him about putting a Wold Flight team together. Origionally he ran from the idea due to the fact he knew what kind of work it would be to put together. Finally and fortunately for us Bob gave in and connected with Sam Llorca and the rest is history. WorldFlight USA was born......

TrevHTrevor Hale - VATSIM# 868133Trevor is our Director of Operations for Worldflight USA and has been an organizer of the group since its inception. When Trevor was 12 he joined the Royal Canadian Air Cadets and fell in love with aviation as a whole. Coming from a family of pilots Trevor himself eventually began his PPL training in the mid 1990's where the flight school he was training at went bankrupt. Unfortunately losing all of his investment Trevor needed to find another outlet for his aviation goals.

As an Electronics engineer he took it upon himself to begin building his first simulator an Airbus A330. After moving to Northern Ontario and having to disassemble the A330 the new journey gave him the option to build his second simulator, The Dassault Falcon 900EX. Once completed with the limited parts available he elected to switch gears and build his own Boeing 737. This 737 Simulator was sold to a flight school in Stockholm Sweden, and Trevor is now converting a real Beechcraft B99 into a Super King Air 350i.

Trevor resides in Ontario Canada, with his beautiful wife Barb, and their two daughters Savannah and Billie. (With two very spoiled Cats) He is the Owner of www.cockpitbuilders.com and with his partner Bob they service the community of home cockpit builders around the world.

KyleHKyle Hathaway Kyle is our Chief Pilot and has been with the team since we started in 2013. He is an active private pilot and is currently working toward an instrument rating. His real-world flight time includes several hours instruction in a 767 LevelD simulator. Kyle's interest in airplanes goes back to when he was a child. His grandfather would occasionally take him to the top of the old terminal 1 parking garage at Pearson International and they would watch airplanes for hours.

Things really took off many years later when, while moving, he found a copy of FS98 in a stack of old computer games. That discovery reignited his passion for aviation and eventually he started building a 767 cockpit in his basement.

Working as an electronics engineer in the LED lighting industry, Kyle has built most of the interface circuits and firmware for his simulator himself. With his is attention to detail and contacts in airline pilot training, he has acquired a large amount of systems and operational knowledge for Boeing aircraft that we rely on constantly.

Kyle lives in Ontario, Canada with his amazing wife Anna and their dog Keisha.

RaySRay Sotkiewicz - CRThe aviation bug bit Ray early at 2 years young. His Dad would take him to the airport on weekends and they'd plane-spot on many a warm Saturday afternoon. Ray spent 12 years in Marine Corps aviation as an Inertial Navigation tech (Think Ring-Laser Gyros!) for the RF-4B and F/A-18 programs. Being in the military offered several opportunities to fly a few military simulators, with stick time in the Marine versions of the F/A-18 and EA-6B. (He much preferred the F/A-18...)

After obtaining his private pilot license in 1999, Ray made a point to fly a different aircraft every year. His logbook pages reveal time in a Robinson R22 helicopter, a Super-Decathlon, a Cessna 152, 172,  182, 182RG, T-34C, Cirrus SR-22, Siai Marchetti SF.260 and even a high-altitude rapid-decompression endorsement in a United 737 simulator.

Fast-Forward to today and you'll find him working on his Beechcraft 1900D simulator in Seattle, where he resides with his lovely wife Andrea and their 2 dogs, Sophie and Piper.

FredKFred KurasiewiczFred spent his working career as the senior technical executive for a global food company. Fascinated with aviation throughout his life and fortunate to have retired early Fred adopted flight simulation as one of his hobbies. For the past 14 years he has pursued building a full-scale cockpit replica of a 737NG in his home. Much of it is hand-crafted featuring a converted and fully-motorized 737 TQ.
Recently Fred finds himself actually enjoying spending most of his time flying it rather than building it. Pursuit of his PPL is next on the agenda. His other passions are playing golf and traveling the world....his objective is "to see everything in the world that is worth seeing". Fred resides in Williamsburg Virginia with his very lovely wife Barbara. He has a son and two daughters and two wonderful granddaughters.

He plans to spearhead the WorldFlight USA Golf Team.

DougSDoug Snow - LCDoug is a Training and Standards aircraft dispatcher for FedEx Express in Memphis, where he has been since 2011.  He teaches international dispatch, and all things related to ETOPS. In addition to this Doug also helps manage the content in their Flight Operations Manual, the ETOPS Manual, and the companies Minimum Equipment Lists.

Doug works with several airline industry working groups, and is the flight dispatch lead for one of the sub working groups for the US Domestic ADS-B Mandate task force, called Equip2020. Doug lives just outside Memphis, with his wife Beth and their 8-yr old daughter Madeline. He has participated in 4 Worldflights, 2 in Australia with QFA25, and 2 with DAL209 here in the US.

Logan Schanie Logan is our youngest captain and technical guru. Logan always joins us to fill in the gaps where needed. He is an energetic young man with great ideas. Logan is always available whenever we need him as well as he is a certified Vatsim controller.

GregHGreg Hembree Greg had his first "up-front" flight at the age of 14 when the local airport offered rides in a Cessna 172. He was hooked. He went on to obtain his Private Pilot's license 8 years later while studying to be an Electrical Engineer from the Georgia Institute of Technology, and earned his instrument rating 4 years after that.

Greg co-owned a Piper Arrow that was successfully operated as a rental business for 12 years where he served as both owner and corporate Treasurer. He learned to fly the 737 when a friend of his opened a simulator business and needed a part time flight guide to pilot the 737 with paying guests.

Greg has worked as an Electrical Engineer at Raytheon for the past 29 years, and is currently building a ViperJet LXR simulator.

More Bio's to come: I will be adding the rest of the crew Bio's as they confirm their attendance for 2017
